Professor Timothy Rickard's research interests include human memory and
performance, skill learning and transfer, and numerical cognition.
He investigates these topics with cognitive laboratory studies,
neuroimaging studies, patient studies, and quantitative modeling
techniques. Current projects explore: 1) the changes in cognitive
processing and representation that occur with practice, 2) memory
impairment in patients with damage
to the medial temporal lobe, 3) the role of attention in memory
retrieval, and 4) the cognitive and neurological structures involved
in numerical cognition.
